Connect an agent

Give an AI tool access to your GigaRAG Workspace, so it can search, read and write your memos while it works.

Cline

Use your memos from the Cline extension or the Cline CLI.

Connect with the GigaRAG CLI

One command connects Cline and every other AI tool on this machine. Signing in happens in your browser, so no key is written into any config file.

npm install -g gigarag
gigarag login
gigarag connect

Restart Cline afterwards. Nothing here expires, and gigarag connect --remove takes GigaRAG back out of everything it touched.

Or set it up by hand

    Open MCP Servers in Cline, then Configure MCP Servers

    The Cline CLI reads ~/.cline/mcp.json instead, with the same contents. Run cline mcp to use its setup wizard.

  2. 2.

    Add GigaRAG to the file

    Keep type set to streamableHttp. Without it, Cline falls back to the older SSE transport and the connection fails.

Check it worked

Send this once it is connected. An answer drawn from your workspace means the connection is live.
